    Rejecting Offer?

    Hi, I've accepted my UNSW offer (from main round), but also accepted my USYD offer (from Round 1) and already enrolled. Am I required to "reject" the UNSW offer even though I never enrolled into UNSW? ie will I be charged with fees? Thank you

    need a hand please

    Are we (3U) allowed to just write $\noindent $R = \sqrt{a^{2} + b^{2}}$ and \alpha = \tan^{-1}(\frac{b}{a}) without showing the equating coefficients with the trig identities? Unsure because pretty much all the worked solutions don't use the above way but I personally use it, so not sure if HSC...

    n is the same n in the question ie the nth roll. p(...) is p(game ending before the nth roll is more than 3/4) Seems like the consensus is that n is not 10 tho. From memory, When n = 10, probability = 0.74... When n = 11, probability = 0.76... When n = 12, probability = 0.77.. or 0.78..?

    When n = 10, p() = 0.74... When n = 11, p() = 0.76... So when n = 10, the probability is less than 3/4.

    I interpreted the question as: What is the smallest value of n for which the probability of the game ending, before the nth roll is more than 3/4? In this case n = 10. Which is what I put.. -- So what you're saying is that we're supposed to read it as: What is the smallest value...

    Pencil/Pen for graphs/diagrams?

    We're supposed to draw graphs/diagrams in pen for the HSC exam... I don't know about others but I tend to draw those in pencil first. Since I don't want to waste time going over them in pen until I finish everything, what happens if they're left in pencil? Will they make sure that they are...
