    Favourite airline?

Qantas for sure. I went on a claimed 5-star airline, and it does not compare to the quintessential Australian Qantas.

How frequent should I write practise responses?

^I'll back this point up! Definitely learn and master your content first, and then slowly start to answer some practice questions. I found that answering practice questions were more helpful once I had sufficient knowledge about the topic, and then I could use this exercise as a way to refine...

    Studying in the Morning=99.95

Just reading this thread leaves me baffled lol... never in my 13 years of schooling have I ever experienced what it's like to pull an all-nighter. I know many people who did that before an assignment at my school, and they would rock up the next day emanating bad energy and a 'just wing it'...

    Timetables

I drew my timetable in my diary/bullet journal for 2020 which I will basically carry around all the time. This way I can access my classes w/o having to open my phone or use wifi/data. In other cases, if you prefer digital timetables, you can download apps where you can record and keep your...

Doing math exercises ahead a waste of time?

Nothing bad comes out of getting ahead in any of your classes. In fact, it might give you extra time during class to discuss questions personally with your teacher or to ask for clarification about a topic.

    HSC scalings

Hey! There are many websites that attempt to break down the complexities of HSC subject scalings, however, I found Eddie Woo's explanation to be the most understandable. Watch the 3 part series here.

UNSW Vis Sci/Optom or USYD Physio?

Hi Hithcock! Thank you for your insight :) I've happily decided on Physiotherapy at USYD due to similar reasons you've listed above. In fact, I had initially chosen physio as my immediate backup and so Vision Sci was literally a decision I made on impulse. I chose it because I was desperate to...

    motivation to study?

Dear OP: Motivation can become your worst enemy during your HSC year. But you must learn to befriend it and use it to your advantage. Start slow and make To-do lists instead of a rigid timetable. It's more likely you'll stick to completing these tasks rather than following a pre-made schedule...

Past HSC questions sorted by topic for NEW SYLLABUS (2019+)

Hey, check out the 2019 version for SUCCESS ONE BIO. It's a book worth investing in since they remove any irrelevant past paper questions and sort them based on the new modules. They also include loads of new questions which complement the new syllabus quite well.

I need help in the following questions for my HSC

Hi, I'll just give you some pointers to give you an idea of what to write for each Q :) 1. Explain why urban areas, generally not appropriate to set up synthesis plants for chemicals. You could potentially argue this, and say that there are pros and cons with establishing a synthesis plant in...

    Success One Series vs. Strive

Hey, I used Success One for Bio and Chem (NEW SYLLABUS) and I found Bio to be EXTREMELY useful for Trial Exams. The new version also negates irrelevant past paper questions that no longer relate to the new syllabus. :)

    UNSW Textbooks

Hey! Booklists should be released when it gets closer to the start of semester. Some degrees might have already released their booklists on their faculty websites. Otherwise, you could check here --> https://www.bookshop.unsw.edu.au/textlist.html In terms of buying textbooks, I think it...

UNSW Vis Sci/Optom or USYD Physio?

Hi everyone :) So I am currently stuck between choosing USYD Physio and UNSW Optom as a program to commence undergraduate study in 2020. My long-term goal is to ultimately pursue medicine. I didn't get any interview offers this year so I'm re-taking the UCAT this coming July. I've been stuck...

am i too dumb for chemistry?

Sure thing :) How I found each subject: (probably not of any help whatsoever but sharing my personal experience for free! :inlove:) Chem - 5/10 Quite a huge jump from Year 7-10 Science, so there were times where I hated it (BUT I loved it in Year 12! Content gets much better and less dry!) Bio...

am i too dumb for chemistry?

Pharmacy has a LOT of chemistry in it. But don't worry, if you're really passionate about a career in health sciences and in particular pharm, then it shouldn't be too hard to come to terms with Chemistry and learn to not only understand concepts faster/better but also enjoy studying it. You...
