yeah sure, Physical properties are things like colour, density, ductility, mallebility,melting point, boiling point. etc chemical properties are things like ionisation energy, reactivity etc.

long hrs. yeah i'll agree there, excel can be a hero sometimes. But don't use excel alone when you do have the time to put the study in. It can be too general sometimes, especially the earlier ones.

how much is Ext 2 a step up from ext 1. is the work load a whole lot more only for 1 extra unit???

Read lots, and know your syllabus'. syllabus' are the bible, esp. in subjects like chem phys and bio. Excell can be a good starting point but often can be to general and doesn't go into enough depth. Insubjects like maths, it helps alot to make summary cards at the end of a topic. The stuff is...
