Having now done it for my HSC prac, I know exactly what you mean... I will never listen to that song again. >_>
Edit: I'm now getting into a lot more music by Petrucci... A lot more soul mixed with shred in music like that; just want I want! :)
I vary a hell of a lot. I'll go from anywhere between 30min to 3 hours. I break this up over several periods through the day, and I also play guitar and piano (am also starting to practice my vocal ability) so I switch around a fair bit.
Oh dear me I have been looking for you people!
Male shredder here... would LOVE to know a female shredder (I didn't think there were many). Ah, can you imagine the wonders of harmonic shredding that would take place!? :)
The important thing to remember is your playing. The markers will be looking at how well you play the piece, but also they will look for how easy it is for you, how much you get into it etc.
If crying does not hinder your playing quality at all then you will definitely not lose marks. You'll...
Isn't that only when the bottom has to do with the differentiation of the first? Or vice versa? In either case I don't think either have very much to do with the differentiation of each other. :)
I'm with the first answer, change it to a negative power and use the function of a function rule...
IP - Manipulation
GP - Still working on that. It was super heroes (It's a bird) but that's turning out really hard to work with as it's so complicated!
I'm only doing two pieces on guitar and one on piano. My guitar pieces are:
Octavarium (Excerpt) - Dream Theater
Canon Rock - Jerry C
Let's pump up that distortion and rock the hell out! :)
