hey people,
I just did a 3 unit maths assessment. It gave you this
dM/Dt = -0.02M
They said to write the solution to that. I mean WTF is that supposed to mean!!??
it didn't mean to get M in terms of t because that was part b of the question.
Re: Re: Here's a thought?
Thats a harsh statement. Anyway, Joeys came 4th in the GPS for the HSC. I think we got 24th overall and we got 1st in the state for Physics and Primary Industries.
The type of questions are things in the form of:
y=P(e^-kx) for decay and you have to differentiate it for the rate. You know they are the type of questions where dy/dx =-ky
etc. the growth is just k not -k...
The only thing is with the exponential growth and decay they give you a...
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with any past assessment tests on the topic of exponential growth and decay and the calculus of inverse trig?
I have an assessment next week.....
Thanks
James
I thought that you are welcome to use techniques above that level test (i.e. 3u techniques in a 2u test) but I thought that they design the tests so that you can't use the higher techniques so that the 3u students don't have any advantage........
to determine the maximum, find dx/dt and make it equal to zero. You'll then get a t-value. Find d2x/dt2 and sub in the t-value (it shoul be negative if it is a maximum). You can then state this t-value as the maximum.
To determine when it kills germs make x>0.06. i.e. 0.3te^-1.1t>0.06 and...
well I've already had my chem exam... I finished soo early I went back and looked over the work 5 times and ended up adding mistakes......
But I was just wondeirng so that I have the tests for the end of years....
