If a person finishes a degree, can they actually get into any degree after that..?

Re: If a person finishes a degree, can they actually get into any degree after that.. Yeah, that's how the WAM system works at my uni (Newcastle). All our courses are weighted, so first year courses are 1000 level, 2nd year 2000, etc and so each consecutive level is worth more. It just makes...

    Uni question

lol, as you probably found, the workshop guys are alright so they won't axe you for not having the right gear in week 1, forget it in a later week though and they'll give you a bit of a hard time. You're pretty lucky to have workshop on a monday, mine was at 8am on a Friday morning, which...

    water engineering

There's always jobs in water, particularly if you don't mind going into planning/design/construction of dams or irrigation type systems as a civil engineer. If you did a joint fluids course with chem. eng. and civil you probably learned about flow in pipes as well as flow in open systems or...

    Which engo is best?

If you're not into maths then chemical engineering is probably the best, as it relies on maths the least (we basically only use excel or other computer programs to solve any mathematical problems, rather than doing them by hand). Also, chemical engineering isn't really that related to...

If a person finishes a degree, can they actually get into any degree after that..?

Re: If a person finishes a degree, can they actually get into any degree after that.. I think your WAM is weighted so that the most important thing is how you do in the higher level courses of the degree. Usually first year courses only count for 1/3 of a 3rd year course, 2nd year courses count...

    What UAI did you get?

92.3 I'm pretty happy, SAM calculated a 2004 UAI of 91.7 so i was quite surprised to get over 92, i thought it'd go down... I only need 91 to do combined chemical engineering and business at uni newcastle! (or 77 for uncombined engineering, lol) Well done everyone!

    General Thoughts: Visual Arts Exam

I thought the exam was pretty good. I did Q5 for the essay, tossed up between it and Q10. I was so glad there wasn't any critic and historian parts in the test, i likes the use of an artist's quote instead in the Duchamp question. :) How did everyone go with their BOW's? Mine got preselected...

    wheres the visual arts thread??

I liked the Duchamp question too. I thought that test was good, not too hard with some nice plates to study. I like how they didn't have critic exerpts, having a quote from the artist for 1c) is much more interesting! I did Q5 for section II, i was tossing up between 5 and 10, what did everyone...

religion and sex before marriage - REDONE

Yes, but in some cases it's the community values that bring around change for the good.. How did Europe get out of the dark ages into the renaissance? They still had the same religious beliefs and systems, but community values led them to an appreciation of science and art that had been banished...
