mmm... back to the topic... apparently the everage teching time for a music teacher is 4 months... they tend to find it too hard and quit... which is why there is a high demand...

length your pieces should around or more than 3 minutes, unless they're really hard and good... i'm pretty sure there is a five minute limit though... the whole moonlight sonata goes for around 15 minutes

okay.... i don't know why people here think performances are more work.... for compositions you have to keep a diary of your research, and every step you take, all your ideas and processes.... with a performance you just learn the piece and do it... I get stage fright and I do fine...

hmmmm as has been said, you don't need a certain skill level, as long as you play well. but as has also been said, it helps to have a iece that sounds good.... you can always play a solo line to an ensemble piece... like Air for G String... just the 1st violin part.... ask your...

hmmm... we have finale and cakewalk at school... i use finale at school, but i want to get sibelius for home... it seems much better.

lol yeah, seeing as a lot of people do them... i know i am :P but I sing too, so i'll probs be doing 1 piano and 3 singing for the HSC :D
