Those Universities you mentioned are not crap universities and have specialists areas that metropolitan universities don't have. Each university has its own faults and good points but don't think just because a University is not thought to be prestigious doesn't mean its not any good.

Look for it's weaknesses and strenghts, dates when it was published, what type of source is it ie primary or secondary, look for bias and perspective, to see how reliable the source. Whether the source has credability and why.
