yeh, my yr 10 maths teacher was a pain in the ass too. Whenever he got the wrong answer to a question, he changed the question to make it work. I dont think he fully understood the work. But i guess that was the first year he eva taught, and my class didn't really make it easy :P

i think your class mark thats assessed at school is 50% of the latter mark. The other 50% is the actual HSC test. So long as you realise that you've done a bad deed (the bad test ;) ) and you rectify it by getting better marks and studying hard core, then, no worries =)

Re: advice please: eco or bio?! Even tho Eco is actually quite interesting at times..... i believe Bio is not only interesting, but you have practicals that are always fun, and also, you have the added advantage that you have 3 sciences which all accomodate each other. Like learning about cells...

conquering chemistry is definately a good book. You also may consider acquiring an Excel Prelim/HSC chem or physics books. I find when i study, they really help, or when trying to get ahead.

lol, yeh study hard, and u can neva go wrong. Ensuring you know all the dot points is also an effective way to study. Ask your teacher for the syllabus if s/he hasn't given you it already.
