im going first semester next year and from what i can gather, probably more towards 10-12k for semester incl. travelling etc?? not too sure tho but 8.5k seems a bit too low. my uni exchange office said minimum 1800 AUD per month youur there if that helps.

Hey guys, i know last yr we had tutes in week 1, and this year they are saying that they are extending the sem to 13 weeks instead of 12.. so jsut wanted to confirm whether tutes started on 9 March or 2 March?? coz my.unsw timetable says there are tutes in week 1... does week 1 start 9 March...

Re: Cadetships 2007 yeh for 2nd, 3rd and 4tf yr u are a FT student... i nomrally fit my whole timetable into 2 days (i dont bother goin to most lectures after the first few weeks so my timetable turns into 2 hours for 2 days) and i get a day off and work 2 days a week... its very managable -...

upfront full time is approx 2800 iirc per semester...

aren't 3 yr degrees not recognised in the US? i think if u do CA/other post grad, then they will recognise it though? or if you go over and do a conversion course which i think takes 18 months - not too sure about that though... EDIT: yeh i think if u do honours its recognised in the USA

there are many fields where accounting and law can be combined, eg working for a law firm and working in their insolvency department - however jsut having an accounting background can have a huge benefit as you can understand company structure, give better advice for clients etc. also...

just enrol in less subjects. iirc if u enrol in 2 or less subejects ure considered part time and 3 or more is considered full time.

we have to buy new books haha im pretty sure they dont reimburse you for 2nd hand books ? or that is wat i hear anyway im not 100% on that

that is what my contract is with deloitte and i find it hard to believe that they would just throw money like that at cadets the first yr they take them.. altho all my terms are the same as the horwath ones.

in regards to the deloitte bonuses - you dont just get given 1k... you will be allowed up to 1k AFTER you provide receipts of purchases.. so you will only get what you paid. and i also agree that 1k is A LOT and seems a bit too high.. atm im only getting 500 bux per semester... altogether... for...
