i have problems with (At the top) c
ii) i get down to theta = 2
then the answers say some shit like "oh but this is out side of the range 0-pi/2 so now we just sub in pi/2 to get the max area :S
can some1 explain
9b) the answers state, in relation to just doing the cos..-sin.. and then integrating "this is only possible because the 2 graphs do not cross in the domain (-pi2)<x<(pi/6)
does this just mean if they were to intersect again inside this area thats when we split integrals :S
and also 9 c ii and iii
that shit is hard for me...does any1 have any tips on how to do this easy
like i see how they did it...but i would never think to do it :S
and the line they get (Ax/Cx)+(Cx/Cx): why do they do the Cx/Cx? what is that proving? i get the Ax/Cx is for the corresponding sides of similiar triangels, but not the Cx/cx bit
