These are summaries of three types of conflict i couldn't be bothered typingup the internal ones, sorry but i hope this helps people!!

TYPES OF CONFLICT
CONVENTIONAL WARFARE – Conventional warfare is fought by large numbers of troops in organised units making extensive us of equipment. This type of warfare emerged with the development of the nation state. A stable government had the ability to raise large amounts of money through widespread taxation, making it possible to form and equip vast standing armies. With time these armies became more professional and because troops spent less time actually fighting, they needed to be occupied and controlled. Military forces developed their own codes of conduct to achieve this. The turn of the 20th century has seen conventional warfare develop from small-scale battles on designated battlefields to conflicts engulfing entire nations and continents.

GUERILLA WARFARE – Guerilla warfare is fought by soldiers who are different from the troops of conventional armies. They are part-time fighters, fighting in small groups, often in isolation from any organised command structure. Equipment is often substandard or stolen.
Virtually all conflicts now involve guerilla units in some form. The use of guerilla style tactics greatly reduces the effectiveness of conventional warfare. The guerilla’s fight in small, disorganised groups that are hard to find and often don’t wear a recognisable uniform.

NUCLEAR WARFARE – The huge death toll in WWII led to the search for a weapon that would achieve quick victory and establish dominance. The nuclear bomb was this weapon. It has only ever been used twice in conflict, in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It has the power to not only destroy entire cities but in all out war, cause devastating effects to the planet.
Based on the potential to kill people, the nuclear bomb is the most cost-effective method. Its use in normal battle however, would kill too many allied forces. These weapons therefore, are intended for attacking concentrations of civilians in cities.
Most nuclear capable nations participate in international agreements designed to reduce the stock of nuclear weapons and reduce the threat of nuclear conflict.
