Describe a management style increasingly being adopted by businesses and evaluate how effective business is in managing change?
can someone give help or ans plz.
As the businesses progress towards the modern age, they are slowly adopting a behavioural style of management over the traditional style of scientific-classical management theory. Along with the behavioural theory of management, political management theory and contigency theory of management were brought about to deal with the increasingly changing society's need, ethics, moral systems and complexity.
Behavioural theory of management theory came about in late 20th century by Harvard University Professor Elton Mayo. This theory of management suggests that workers are not simply motivated by their economic needs. This theory successfully considers the social life of employees, referring to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs in that aspect. This management theory strongly belives in the notion of an empowerment of employees, team-work and effective communication system within the business. In order to do that, the overall business structure is "flattened" whereby the tall structure of chain of command is reduced with larger span of control. In doing so, the business reduces the problems related to the complex communication structure and the workers are more regarded as independent workers.
I can put few more stuffs in but I will let you add your own stuff as it will be better for your own study. I hope that helped.
