You address the marketing plan by :

1. Implementing
2. Monitoring
3. Controlling

Implementing is the process of putting the marketing strategies into operation. (This is obviously started firstly by drawing up a marketing plan)

Monitoring means checking and observing the actual progress of the marketing plan (how successful it has been) - Done by looking at sales figures etc to previous.

Controlling involves the comparison of planned performance against the actual performance, and taking corrective action to make sure the objectives are attained.
