For one, go closer to the city/metro area.

Plus, you'd be surprised how many people are bi or lesbian.

When/if you decide to go to university you'll find it'll be alot easier to meet bi/gay girls because there are groups, societies, queerspaces etc and the whole environment is more accepting so its easier to meet them in general. There are also youth groups that you can probably find if you google them that cater to LGBT teens. Lastly, as ur inner child has said its alot easier to find people in the metropolitan.

gday!

lol. i know its hard to find other queers in our area lol.
im a 17yr old lesbian - i happen to live in the western suburbs hahahah.
i know a few other queers around the area but not much.
most of them are located in the city area or towards the city area.
thats where most of my other queer mates are located.

anyhow. just thought id say gday.

cheers!

you know what.
i am a christian.
and i am not ashamed to say so.

yes, i practice my religion.

also, i am not ashamed to say im gay.

i know many christians take the bible as a literal text.
and guess what.

jesus says nothing about condemning homosexuality at all.
only leviticus and st. paul and another i do believe.

leviticus says its wrong to wear clothing of two different blends of material.
soo does that mean people who wear these clothing in our time would be condemned into hell?

NO.

it was a different time and place - DIFFERENT CONTEXT.

there is nothing wrong with queers.

i have other gay mates who are christian.

we aren't different. you just chose to ostracise us and see us through the negative social stigma against us.

God, created us as equals.

we cannot change our sexual orientation overnight.

we are born this way.

so please.

i have no hate towards you, but i am upset as to how you could say that we are a disgrace.

that is very un-christian like of you.

it's not like us queers are going to jump on you and attack you.

we have our own lives just like everyone else.
we just happen to be attracted emotionally/physically to the same sex.

so please. do not judge us based on stigma. or whatever.

we have individual personalites. we are human. just give us a chance.

we didn't chose to become gay. its who we are. as you are straight.

[ end rant ]

If your a christian, your a disgrace. Im not gay in any way, but good calls us to be loving, especially to our brothers and sisters in christ.

the wrong is in being with someone of the same sex. different time, differnet context, whatever, it's still wrong.

if a majority of people suddenly started murdering others, would that mean that what the Bible says about murder being wrong, is itself wrong? hell no

just because gays are more accepted and more open about it, just because we see gays in society more, doesn't equalize with it being any more right now than it was then.

God, created us as equals.

we cannot change our sexual orientation overnight.

we are born this way.

Come on.... You have a choice, it isn't something that's programmed into you. Even if you say some shit about 'oh, but genetically, i'm more inclined to being gay' or whatever, it doesn't matter, it still becomes a choice. It's like being back to that murder idea. Just because, say, you are more inclinced to murder because of genetics of whatever, doesn't make it suddenly RIGHT for you to murder, does it? Maybe you might murder if pushed to it, or whatever, but even then, it doesn't make it RIGHT. That's the same with being gay. And, in case you didnt know, you were born physically in a way as to be straight.

I'm not going to condemn you. But I'm going to tell you, rethink your position on being gay. Especially if you're christian. At the end of the day it's your choice...just hope you don't make the wrong choice.

If you would like to discuss Homosexuality and morality or whatever it seems to be, post in these posts:

Homosexuality in Australia

http://community.boredofstudies.org...s-politics/95808/homosexuality-australia.html

Gay Marriage in NSW/Australia
http://community.boredofstudies.org...ge-nsw-australia.html?highlight=homosexuality

Keep in mind that the two threads above are in the News Current Affairs and Politics forum, where you need to justify your argument with reasoning as well as not pollute it with comments that do not add to your argument.

Don't victimise her by discussing your personal views of homosexuality when it is not clear that it is welcome. Debate it in the two other threads.

This L&R thread clearly does not ask for your approval of her sexuality.
