As above, those two are my related text's have extensive notes on babel, but just started catcher in the rye notes ( i only have to do babel for first AOS task).
Is anyone else thinking of doing these we could share notes, especially if you are or are also doing Immigrant chronicles

Quick summary:
babel is a rich, evocative text littered with gorgeous and subtle cinematography that powerfully communicates the global scale of belonging, and how despite the removal of physical barriers in the internet age, our socioeconomic status insulates us from the realities of the world. It also concerns the belonging to the institution of marriage, how our familial bond's powerfully shape our identity and can define us, and how it is often the poor that truly belong as global citizens.

Catcher in the rye is a classic text about teenage cynicism, and is a landmark in the expression of teen angst, the difficulties of connecting with the wider world and adults, and how we insulate ourselves from the wider world based on our sense of identity, amongst other things.
