Anything out of the ordinary happen in your half-yearly exams?

so far, we've had one person faint, another person leave sick (she as going to vomit) and another one leave crying.

weird exams im tellin' yah ... the hsc stress is actually getting to people..

as for me, i've had to go to the toilet for nearly every exam besides English paper II (today) where i was firing away.. wrote 3 full pages about emma and clueless .. then 2 pages on a creative response on emma and clueless.
after the exams, i literally ran out of the hall and kicked open the toilet doors to take a leak... - -'''

i think i drink too much in the exams.

We had one of our stoner guys walk in late, absolutely tanked up on something. He knocked over three peoples tables attempting to sit down and refused to take his MP3 headphones out of his ears until he could sing the line in that INXS song which goes "Mary mary your on my mind"...

Was rather humourous.

He was soon after escorted out of the exam.

One of the teachers on the first day was supervising our exam, when suddenly his phone's ring tone went off - it was an Usher song, and everyone giggled. A few minutes later it went off again and everyone laughed again. Random, and definitely out of the ordinary. XD

This should also include the funny things that happen during exams. i remember last year in modern history prelim exam, some guy answered every single essay question in the paper. there was about 40! haha. all he did was repeat the question in his answer lol. someone else didn't know how to answer one of the extended response for geo i think? and just left a random comment for the marker lol.

I passed out and smacked my head on the floor in my first exam!! I'm so clever, lol.... of the five exams I was required to sit, I only made it to two. Eardrum burst.

You burst your ear drum from the fall? Or did you have the burst ear drum beforehand. Either way, sounds pretty brutal :S

i think the eardrum burst was the cause of the fall cuz the balance sense thing (vestibular sense) is in the sac behind the eardrum

Yep, all I remember is a lot of pain in my ear, then blackness. Then I opened my eyes and I was on the floor, but the pressure in my head was gone. Good times.

we just have this car horn beeping a tune (those novelty ones) EVERY morning of the exams for a few minutes - which is entirely distracting.
And then i had an exam in the afternoon, thought there'd be no car horn BUT NO, there was the ice cream truck.
We need to soundproof the hall. And teachers and their "whispering" is distracting too.

lol yes I'm ok now, have to keep taking medication for a few weeks and I can't really hear much on the left side - but that should go back to normal. Hopefully.

When I was sitting doing my Modern the other day, someone lost it. They stood up, kicked their chair and ran out, almost in tears.

We've also had our principal come in and start talking to his wife.

Some things were whispered a little too loud.....*shudders*

Nothing happened that was too out of the ordinary for me, unless you call some junior kids outside constantly screaming out during recess and lunch about how ugly someone was, unusual....lol
Today, when we had our Physics exam, we had a problem with the provided data sheet. Our exam was on the topics Motors and Generators plus From Ideas To Implementation. The formulae for those topics were on the SECOND page of the data sheet, but we only got the first page of the data sheet which consisted of a list of formulae from Year 11 topics and Space; so the second page was missing.
So, as a result we got the WRONG formulae sheet and we did NOT get a sheet with a list of all those constants like we were supposed to. It wasn't until like there was 30 minutes left to go did the Science staff realise that they gave us the wrong formulae sheet and we had no sheet with a list of constants (i.e. charge of proton/electron and Planck's constant etc) to refer to for our calculations after SEVERAL people questioned it beforehand!!!! So with time running out, they grabbed some HSC data sheet with a list of constants and photocopied them in emergency and handed it out to everyone when there was like 20 minutes left. We still never got that formulae sheet though......A lot of people were pissed off about it because their teachers told them that they didn't need to remember the formulae and constants because it would be provided to them....LOL

I think it's the student's responsibility to point things like these out, surely someone would have noticed a whole page of formulae missing? :p

Well the delay was probably due to many people already remembering the formulae and constants anyway. Also, the calculation questions requiring the data sheet didn't appear until the last few questions of the paper so many didn't think that they would need it until they encountered the appropriate question. Still, it was the Science faculty who screwed up by forgetting to copy half the data sheet anyway. Even in Chemistry, we had the complete data sheet how could they have forgotten physics?
