Help on these questions. Please use the number line method if possible

1. A pile of sand dumped at the start of a long road has to be distributed in truckloads at 800m interbals along the road. IF there are 15 truckloads of sand in the pile, calculate how far in total the truck has to travel in order to deliver the sand

2. IN a pyramid in Egypt, the triangular sides are formed by rows of stone blocks. Each row has one less blocks than the row beneath it. If the bottom row of one side has 300 blocks in it, how many blocks were needed to form the side? If every corner block is shared by two sides, how many blocks were used to build the sides of the pyramid?

3. Tom's father paid $500 into an account on the day Tom was born. After that, he paid $500 into the account on Tom's birthday until Tom's 18th b'day. If the account accrued interest at 8% p.a. compunded monthly, calclulate how much Tom would recieve on his 18th b'day.

First u gotta find the effective interest rate.
this can be found by:
[(1+r/n)^n] - 1 giving an effective interest rate of 8.3%p.a [rounded up to 1 d.p

now u can work out the accrued amount.
Sn =(1+r) R ( (1+r)^n - 1) / r

=> (1.083) 500 * [(1.083)^18 - 1] / 0.083

-> $20,880.97
