ARE SEMESTER BREAKS REALLY A BREAK?????? (1 Viewer)

Hi, I was just wondering if during the month of july (half yearly semester break) we are required to be preparing for the next semesters work load? Will there be assignments or can I actually use it as a holiday. I was planning on taking an overseas holiday but didnt want to go if i will have to spend my holidays working?

Could someone in years 2 onwards share their experience thanks.

Yes, it is really a break.

It is a complete break. Semester 1 and semester 2 are completely separate. Subjects from sem 1 are all finished by end of exams, and you won't have to do anything for subjects in sem 2 until semester actually starts. Lots of students go on holidays over July or work etc.
