i don't understand what the question means 'explore the assumptions underlyng the journeys represented in your chosen texts'?????

I have chosen Huckleberry Fin, Gullivers Travels, The Road Not Taken and the movie Amistad. But what assumptions do they mean?? is it my owm assumptions, the writers assumptions or the audiences assumptions??
And what do they mean by assumptions?? is it like an assumption that it is generally males that take the journeys??is that the kind of assumption they mean? i have no idea!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks heaps
love ya all ang xo

i dont know about assumptions.........the main (and really it is the most important) thing that you need to know for AOS is the techniques employed by the composer when creating the text, and how these techniques create the imaginary journey......

however, i cant see how techniques could be related to assumptions?? i dont even know what the assumptions would be
