Hey, can I please get an atar estimation.

Thus far, I have completed 2 assessed tasks (with 2 remaining). Although my half yearlies were unassessed (due to NESA formal examination cap), I've provided those marks so I can ascertain a more accurate estimate.

English Advanced-
Overall Mark: 98/100 - Half-Yearly Mark: 90/100 - Rank: 1/13 - Band 6s in 2018: 2 - Band 6s in 2017: 1 - Band 6s in 2016: 1

Business Studies-
Overall Mark: 100/100 - Half-Yearly Mark: 100/100 - Rank: 1/23 - Band 6s in 2018: 4 - Band 6s in 2017: 4 - Band 6s in 2016: 3

Information Processes and Technology-
Overall Mark: 100/100 - Half-Yearly Mark: 96/100 - Rank:1/8 - Band 6s in 2018: 0 - Band 6s in 2017: 1 - Band 6s in 2016: 0

Legal Studies
-
Overall Mark: 100/100 - Half-Yearly Mark: 100/100 - Rank:1/18 - Band 6s in 2018:0- Band 6s in 2017: 3 - Band 6s in 2016:1

Mathematics-
Overall Mark: 90/100 - Half-Yearly Mark: 99/100 - Rank:2/12 - Band 6s in 2018: 1- Band 6s in 2017: 2 - Band 6s in 2016: 2

Studies of Religion II-
Overall Mark: 99/100 - Half-Yearly Mark: 100/100 - Rank:1/27 - Band 6s in 2018: 0 - Band 6s in 2017: 5 - Band 6s in 2016: 2

School Rank 2018: 249th
School Rank 2017: 200th
School Rank 2016: 213th

Thanks!

Hi its really difficult to give you an accurate ATAR estimate because your marks are really high but the problem is your school rank isn't great. So this means that you will on those marks and past trends likely get band 6 in most of your subjects, but its hard to say if that band 6 is a low band 6 like a 90 or a higher one like a 95. This might mean in your school that you are an exception to the students in the past and get something like a 99 or the marking in your exams was easier than what some other schools would have which may have inflated your results somewhat, and might mean you get a mid 90s ATAR.

With your ranks since you are basically number 1 in all your subjects, your mark will largely be decided by yourself when you go to the HSC external exams. I think the best thing is to just keep continuing with the good work but find ways to still improve because like I said before lower ranked schools can sometimes have easier examinations and lower quality in answers because the competition between students isn't as high. To address that I would try to attempt exams from some higher ranked schools that you can find on websites like THSC online and get them marked by your teacher
