i realised they took out 3 courses at macquarie from last year.
B Science in Computing
B Computing and Information Systems
B Technology (Information And Communication Systems)

which UAIs last year were 70.25, 70.05, and 70.70 respectively.

considering IT cut off is quite low at macquarie, they then decided to scrap their 3 courses and create a brand new course called B Information Technology, hence making their uni look better without all those 70s cut off for IT courses, however i see B Information Technology this year also fall somewhere in the 70s. perhaps a bit higher say mid 70s.

So anyone actually considering doing IT at macquarie rather than usyd?

i got into this course. it was my 7th preference. i don't really want to do it cuz macq is too far so i might just stick with usyd. i'm lost on which course to do right now.

does anyone know what kind of reputation MACQ's computing and IT degrees have?

it doesnt have a reputation.
its IT faculty is fairly new.

i'm actually doin eBusiness atm, which doesnt have many electives. But i'm plannin on transferring to the generic B.Com which has lots of room for electives.
