Hi everyone :)

I am new to this lovely forum, and I need a bit of help with chemistry, I have an assignment about "Balanced Chemical Equations" and I didn't realy get what do I have to do with one of the questions.

The question is" for each word equation find any example and write a BALANCED CHEMICAL EQUATION to represent that equation?"

ACID + BASE --------> SALT + WATER

METAL CARBONATE --------> METAL OXIDE + CARBON DIOXIDE

METAL + ACID -------> METAL SALT + HYDROGEN

METAL + OXYGEN --------> METAL OXIDE

ACTIVE METAL + WATER --------> METAL HYDROXIDE + HYDROGEN

ACID + METAL CARBONATE -------> METAL SALT + WATER + CARBON DIOXIDE

and thatkyou

e.g. Acid + Base = Salt + Water

2HCL + Mg(OH)2 = MgCl2 +H20
