I recently transferred from Bcom-Accg to just B Commerce (BCom). Now does

that mean i am not majoring in anything since its now just commerce only? The

thing is i want to major in marketing but my gpa is about .45 below the req to

transfer to Bcom- mrkt. What exactly do i do with just BCom with no major?

Im a little confused.

Thanks!

Well in B Comm, you do actually choose a major. This then decides what subjects and units you take. For example, last year I was doing B Comm/Law but was majoring in Finance. However, I decided to transfer over to B Applied Finance/Law. Reason being is you actually obtain accreditation and can become qualified. But doing plain B Comm is fine. Have you already enrolled in your subjects. If you want to do Marketing, I am fairly sure that there is a major in marketing in the plain commerce. Just give the Student Enquiries a call to tell them to add it to your study plan. It should be fine really. good luck

the app fin degree gives you accrediation to some finance group, whereas the B com- fin has no official accrediation.

do B com, and pick heaps of marketing units. get the required GPA then officially major in it?

You guys wouldn't happen to have any links which give detail on this?
He may be referring to RG146 compliance. T get this you would have to do FIN310 (i.e. B App Fin, not B Com- Fin) and also ECON335 and ACCG352. Then there are other units (that you would be picking as electives mainly) that must be completed for compliance against specialist knowledge requirements. The full details are here:
