I got a business studies research task due in about 1.5 weeks, I wanted to start now so I can get ahead, and i was given a good list of companies, ones i considered include; telstra, westfields, mambo, greater union, vodafone, levi strauss

we where told NOT to do harvey norman, mcdonalds, nike, coca cola, westpac and qantas

the assignment asks basically to;
identify the international targets for the buiness
explain the strategies used by the busienss to achieve its targets
explain the influences on this business of the global market
analyse the reasons for its international expansion

i dont want people to directly answer it, my question is where do i exactly pull this info from? for example im on the blue scope steel website and im getting background information on the company but nothing as close to this indepth

none will go as indepth as to tell me exactly who they're targetting in the future of expansion, and exactly why they're doing so

Calls they kept diverting me to managers that never really answered, so i just chose national out of impulse

explain the influences on this business in the global market
Explain the strategies used by the business to achieve its targets

i seriously get the two confused, see i got for example product diversification the national did help them achieve Australian market, but then again they did it once they went global, so i just need clarification between the two hsc key word questions please ;D

if you go to their investor relations pages and get their Annual report and other documents, they should specifiy their products and thier targets. e.g. For BA (british Airways) thats where i got alot of good info.
Also goto your local library and ask about their news subscriptions and databases. they have lots of news articles that you can search for more info.

im sorry i dont know aobu the first phrasing, better to ask, i was gonna talk about the general environment, but it didnt seem appropriate.
i think the second one is more straght forward, list its goals and how it achieves them maybe through advertsing, more competitve marketing mix etc.

sorry if this rely is a bit late...
