What I've heard from teachers is that Business studies is one of the easiest HSIE subjects there is, but it really depends on your interests.

If you are choosing between the two based upon which has the lower amount of work load then business has a very low workload and is a very easy subject. It's like one of those subjects where you don't have to actually think critically, you just memorise the syllabus and do past papers and the questions are always sort of similar. Due to that though it's a very boring subject

If you are choosing between the two based upon what is more interesting I would say learning history is probably more interesting, but it probably has more workload than business

2. Consider how your school performs in each respective subject in HSC
3. Consider teacher quality
4. What do you want to do in the future?
