2 objects on a horizontal turn table which is spinning @ 10 rpm. The object X of mass 0.2kg is 10cm from the centre and Y is 30cm from the centre of the turntable.
What is the mass of Y, if the centripetal force acting on it is 12 times greater than the centripetal force acting on X.

It should be an easy Q, but i seem to be getting the wrong answer.. any help please :D

Thanks !

use the formula

work out the force on object x... times that by 12 and then using the new radius of 30 cm... solve for the mass... Oh, and you need to convert rpm to m/s
