hey fellow BOSers,
i'm wondering if any of you have been to summer clerkship information evening / interview at any of the big 6 law firms (esp blake dawson). if you could tell me:
-what the information evening was all about & whether you must attend
-what you wore to the information evening
-questions asked during the interview process
i'd really appreciate it because i really don't know what to expect. thanks in advance!

tips one of my lecturers gave us (these are the ones i can remember)

- in an interview there are always two questions answered, but never asked.
1. Do I like this person?
2. Can I trust this person to do a good job? Can I trust them with my clients.

If you get a 'yes' for both, then you're laughing.

other tips.
- don't drink too much.. (often these invitation evenings are open bar to see)
- be social.. alot of the time they're looking to see if you have social etiquette
- don't be stuck in the corner by yourself.
- don't wear too skimpy clothing.. wear something you'd wear to church.
- interview ends when you're at home.. don't assume that just because the other person says it's finished, that it's finished.
- ask alot of questions. ( real questions)

- ideally arrive 10 minutes before the meeting/interview
don't arrive half an hour early. by the time you get to the interview you'd be sweating too much.
DONT BE LATE.
