talk about both sides exploiting resoucres to 3rd world countries in order to gain interest and respect and their reasons.
Africa: was ripe for intervention, africamn countries gaining independence.
1960: decolonistaion
taking profits out of countries contributing to 3rd world poverty-made soviet's look attractive.
the independence of Angola (1975)-becoming communists in 1977
Middle east: it's all about the oil.
soviet's sharing boarders with turkey/iran/afganistan
talk about Suez (1956), Arab-Israeli conflict, 6day war (1967) Yom Kippur (1973) and the camp david talks (1978)
