Hey guys,

I need to buff up my community service for college applications.

I want something different from the average nursing home or library.
I tried volunteering to teach Sudanese refugees how to speak English (that would've been awesome!) but you have to be over 18!!!

Any suggestions?

If you do Duke of Edinburgh, isn't that more than enough?

Speaking of DOE, I gotta dig out my book again. I took a big break, so the book is pratically blank. Hopefully will finish it properly this year.

Yeah, teaching friendly migrants to speak English would be awesome!

Our school did offer WE, however it wasn't compulsory. They only mentioned it a little bit at the start of Year 10, never really talked about it since then. They didn't push it or anything, only a small number of people did. I couldn't be bothered going out to look for a job, so I didn't do it. Anyone here actually did complete WE?

Yeah our whole grade had to do it, although it was an absolutle pain working out all the insurance forms! That being said, once it was all organised it was great- i went to SBS for a week and had an awesome time.
