conversions and binary arithmatic! (1 Viewer)

hey, if we get asked to do binary arithmatic in the option 'developers view of hardware" ... can we change it to decimal & do the math and then just convert it back? its so much easier that way for me... esp with division... SamD do you know anything? help guys!!

Unfortunately it is highly likely for the question to stipulate that the working be done in binary. Which is fair enough really, most of us can do simple arithmetic in decimal!!!!

If you've got time it may be worth checking your result using decimal. If you get stuck then work it out in decimal and then try and generate the appropriate working in binary. Bit of a cheat, but whose to know!!!
