At an undergraduate level, mining engineering is probably the best.

Considering the harsh conditions and working hours doctors need to do its no surprise that they get paid heaps. i mean...the 12hr night shifts and at times..24hr shifts for 3 days.

But thats not a good enough downside to steer me away.

i do architecture .. on my orientation day, our welcoming line was "if you're here to make money and look for easy success .. then here's the door". hope that answers your question ;)

having said that, i agree with salad boy and natstar. and asqy. a lot of people in my school did law/med (i'd say probably about a third of the grade) and in my honest opinion probably only half are interested in the career, not just the prestige/$$$.

i think its really disappointing to see so many people drawn by the 'glamour' of these so-called high earning courses when they could be doing so much in other fields

I tried the whole doing a course just to get good money. My advice - it's not worth it. (Straight from the drop-outs mouth :p )

Now I have no clue what I'll do once I finish this course, but I have 3 years to figure that out, so right now I'm just cruising ...
