how to Find the cross product of

(3, 180°) X (79, 25°) ?

Use the formula , where 'a' and 'b' are the vectors you are multiplying (you have them right there), |a| and |b| are the moduli of the vectors, theta is the angle between the two vectors and n is the unit vector perpendicular to the xy plane (in other words parallel to the z axis).

All you have to do now is use the right hand rule to figure out which way the unit vector points (does it point towards positive z, or negative z?)
