hey, im busily trying to write essays for section 3 and im trying to get all my quotes etc together....could someone PLEASE help me and tell me why Skrzynecki personifies time and the sea in 'Crossing the Rea Sea'.

personification of time is found in the line"That time was hoisting in mock salute" "As we crossed a sea and ooked at red banners" before this line of personification shows that only time can heal these people from the devistation experianced... and in time the mock salute will be held for those who have fallen...... time is personified as aknowleding that thes men and women on the boat... though not physically dead... are mentally fallen .... Time is personified by the fact that it is a measure and can not hoist in mock salute hope i helped a little
