How do you carry out desk checking, I've tried to attempt it on the Heisennen books but it's fair confusing, can someone help me out? it's like it's gibberish or somethin'

locate all the variables that change in value throughout the algorithm, and for each variable have a column for each of them, and then you start tracing it top to the bottom, and recording the values that change for each variable.

Hmmm question are trace tables and desk checks the same thing basically? cause with trace tables it keeps track of the variables and requires updating when necessary , well im pretty sure the Desk check does this as well ???
