DET Portal Filtering (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know any workarounds so you can still browse the majority of the internet from within school. The new DET Portal system has blocked the majority of websites on the net and it is frustrating beyond belief. Even some sites which are education related get blocked but it isn't worth the trouble to get them unblocked. And for some reason 2 of my websites got blocked aswell for 'Pornography' when infact both websites are currently empty directories... :S

As Collin said, contact your sysadmin if you think a site should be blocked.

i think they're gonna block every single site, then allow only ones needed for school. so yeh. its getting shitter (this is happening around october)

as of october 1st. the DET portal will only allow you to view sites that they have approved.. so instead of blocking the bad sites they will block all sites except for a few educational ones... which means that BOS will be blocked lucky im finishing school!

No it won't. Because so many teachers back the bos's resources up so badly, so the BOS would be committing suicide.
