Our teacher told us that for Ancient you need to develop your own ideas on the events of the time period for the essay, and not just know facts if you want a band 6. I know this is right, but i can't figure out how you would possibly develop your own theories- its like developing a thesis.

I'm doing
Sparta
Caesar
pelopponesian war
and Rome, uhh the Caesar period.

If anyone has any 'theories' they want to trade with mine, that would be great. I have a few i can back up with evidence, so if you want them..give me some!!

since when was developing your own theory ever in any outcomes or marking criteria, analysis and evaluation are important for band 6 but your own theories???? hmm well i spose it would help but its the analysis and evaluation thats important

well u have 2 provide evidence from sources to back up whatever yur saying in yur essay, so maybe thats what yur teacher means. but developing yur own theories?? thats just weird. i havent heard anything like that b4.
