A road run due east from A to B a distance of 1500m. A church bears 140 degrees from A and 170 degrees from B. How far is the church from B?

Draw the diagram.

In the triangle ABC (where C is the church):
Angle A is 140-90=50
Angle B is 270-170=100
Angle C is 180-50-100=30

Sine Rule: BC/(sin50) = 1500/(sin30)

Then finish it off.
