do i have to use scholar articles for pip (eg like dissertations stuff from google scholar) or am i able to use articles from eg the guardian (1 Viewer)

ive tried searching this up but couldn't find an answer, i did a practice pip in year 11 and we were only allowed to use verified articles that were like in pdfs and stuff and not able to use newspaper articles like from time or the guardian so just wondering if same applies in year 12? thank u sm

You should be able to use articles from the guardian as long as the authors are credible and you cite the source - but check with your teacher first, I could be barking up the wrong tree here.

I used articles! I got a band 6 in society, soo it was fine. I know a lot of people do content analysis of news articles as well, depends on why you're using the source and if you can find more applicable research
