Particularly in topic 3, do we need to know the government policies? It's not on the syllabus, Im not sure if its because its changed or its implied that we need to know it...

notsureifsrs government policies is literally all of topic 4 so u obviously need to know it. If your question was do we need to know how government policies are used to achieve the economic objectives of topic 3, then the answer is also yes.

Topic 3 and Topic 4 are related ... Topic 3 looks at the issues; Topic 4 looks at the solutions and effectiveness of them solutions/responses
