um i take prelim semi seriously!
many people in the "harder" subs such as ext maths and eng, definetely take it seriously.

in subs like business studies and legal studies noone really takes it seriously, even the teachers say that ( people dont do assigns, and talk through speeches etc)

I took it seriously, but I shouldn't have, as it doesn't mean anything.

The only thing you should care about is knowing the work, as a lot of it is in the HSC.

I SHOULD have taken maths (esp ext 1 :( ) seriously but I didnt. I bludged throughout yr 11 and never even realised.

Some people treat it seriously, others treat it like a trial year and the rest just takes it as it comes i.e. bludging then cramming the night before the prelim finals :D

I think you should up the study a bit, revising your work once a week works fine. It doesnt count for anything, and theres no need to go full bore, i think youd just burn yourself out before the HSC anyway.

i take it serious because every subject i do (prob not bio 2much) is linked in with next year, and they only realy teach us wot we use next year in depth. i do not over load myself thou ill leave that 2 next year cos then i have a huge break at the end... after last exam, im getting trashed :)

Yeah, I take Year 11 Prelim's seriously. Because some of the work you learn will be required in yea 12. However, I am not going to study for 8 hours each day for prelim's but I do try to do well in everything.

i took yr 11 seriously, to me it was a foundation of the things/subjects that it'd be doing in yr 12. like perviously mentioned some subjects requires the background knowledge (e.g maths).

i take yr 11 pretty serious. i'm more laid back though, but i care about my work and i try to put my best into everything. i do get lazy sometimes, but then who doesn't right? plus i go to a public co-ed school and most of the people in extension maths, english etc. take it seriously

when i was in yr 11 i took it seriosly 2 begin wit but by the last term (3) i cudnt be bothered coz i felt wat i didnt wudnt matter coz yr 11 doesnt count... which is true. i did shit in my final exams but worked my arse off in yr 12 so it made no difference not taking yr 11 seriosuly towards the end of it

i take my prelim seriously coz really experienced people hav told me it forms a really good basis for the hsc year n i personally believe gettin myself stressed to some level now prevents me from breaking down next year
n my seriousness had gradually increased which is better than gettin all these stress in one go

StGGHS.

I've never tried hard at prelims. I used to do homework, but that wore off after a while. I tell myself that I'll work hard next year etc., but as if I will. I've been telling myself that since I started high school, I see no reason why yr 12 will make a difference. I figure, as long as I pass all of my prelim subjects (2u maths is a bit iffy at the mo'), I'm set. :D

sths..

i dont really take it seriously.. i take it probably.. a level below semi serious.. .lol
like for my assessment task hand ins i started about 1 week before they were due.. and i left some for the night before.. this was counted as doing it early at my skool...

alot of my frends did their ones IN the period it was due... so i think that is an indication that most dont take it seriously.... so yah. ^^.

a week before assigns were due was considered the right time before but since last term when u hav 4 assigns at the same time due in the week it's no longer the story
