Just a quick question.
I'm writing a critical article review of an journal article. Naturally, I always refer to the author of that article as I consider their main points eg "Smith claims that..." "Smith's assertion is that..." what I want to ask, is do I need to use the year each time I refer to him? So does it have to be like "Smith (2000) claims that..." every time I mention their name?
