Heya, i've got 2 little questions for you. i appreciate you for lookin at it !

1. I want to do a double major (Accounting + Finance) for commerce. What do I have to do? I have enrolled in FINS1612 as my friend told me to (either that or LEGT1711). I'm a bit wary about the processes involved in obtaining a double major. like.. what actually happens.

2. I also want to get a CPA/CA. How will my double major effect this and will it be possible to get a CPA/CA with a double major in Accounting + finance? Would it be very long/complicated?

Thanks in advanced for your replies!

Basically first year you do core subjects + two electives for your major/CA.

You require 24 extra UOC (6 counted as a gen-ed and the rest do as options) and 6 from finance major (1613) for CA, for CPA you need one extra subject (6 UOC)

I think Max UOC for commerce is 144. 36 for core, 84 for two co-majors, 24 for ca = 144. 150 for cpa seems to be over, so best to go see the student centre. i asked them the same questions for my double degree + 3 majors + ca/cpa over email and they told me to come in.
lol how do u know so much bout this stuff? r u doing comm now?

i looked into this stuff n it just lookd too complicated... it depends which 1 u want, cpa or ca the requirements vary (by 1 course) in which case a required course can already be chosen bcoz of ur major or majors.
look at this thread
http://community.boredofstudies.org/136/faculty-business/133184/plan-your-degree-commerce.html

the first one (which was designed 4 'derek') is similar 2 wat u want i think... but im guessing the reason y its not 4 just 3 yrs is coz of the prerequisites n u have to wait to do one course b4 u do the next, eg for each major so it screws u ova.
im probably way off sum1 plz correct me if im wrong
