im doing commerce this yr and was wondering whether doing a double major in finace and minoring in econmetrics is a good choice as i hate to become an accountant... rather be in the finance industry

Thats a pretty good combination - Finance and Econometrics prepares u as more of a quantitative analyst in finance

thats a really good choice.....i heard in some areas of finance u dont really need any hardcore maths too.....lol
