When you're doing video drama, you have to try and avoid creating a "music clip". As in, what you see on Rage, Videohits etc. Markers don't like that and in a way, believe that the music is used as an excuse for poor sound quality, bad acting and other bad things you don't want to have your video drama tagged with.
With the script/dialogue, it's pretty tough but if you pull it off, it'll get onto the good side of the markers. You'll need good sound quality (most mini cam recorders have great built in mic's as long as you don't play to film 50 billion metres away from the subject) good actors who have believable voices and basically a good script.
For my own movie I did last year, I actually had predominantly music but it was sort of used to change the mood of the different scenes - and also because the actors were bad so I had to cover up the mistakes somehow. Check it out if you want:
