Hi there,

I've never posted in here before, however I was just looking for some advice about dropping one of my (mandatory) subjects, from ATAR SOR 1- Unit to Non-ATAR Catholic Studies. I'm doing pretty well in my other subjects, first or second in all, except for SOR; I was wondering how it would effect my a) ATAR and b) University entry if I were to change to the non-ATAR Catholic Studies to focus on my other subjects. The subjects I'm currently doing are:

Mathematics
Mathematics Ext 1
Physics
Chemistry
PDHPE
English Adv.
SOR-1 Unit

Thanks for your time!

stick with board endorsed courses, others can arouse second thoughts when it comes to uni.

Only your 10 best units count towards your atar (including 2 units of english). If SOR1 ends up being your worse subject, it won't be counted.

I kept SOR 1 because I knew it would be counted towards my ATAR. I did 11 units, btw. Drop it if you don't enjoy it and know it won't be counted because SOR 1 is incredibly demanding for a 1u subject
