Econ 111 and Econ 141 (1 Viewer)

does anyone have unit outlines for these subjects cause ill be away for the first few weeks of next semester and i wanan get a head start.

also what are these units like....are they hard...easy.....boring...good??

they're both alright...i found econ111 pretty easy and for the final in econ141 just practice past papers they are exactly the same type of questions...hope you don't get that french lady for econ141 i couldn't understand a word she said...

depends really
econ 141 has changed a lot this year coz the exam was nothing like the past papers of previous years...
Also I personally found 111 a lot easier than 110...
workshops..can't help you, never went to one

workshops...they are tutorials in mini lecture halls. stupidest idea ever. like adonis, never went to many.

i would recommend that you go to allan mcharg's lectures though. he is a genius!

how can econ110 be hard?! like half the course, is just drawing that Y-E diagram. after that you memorise two (at most three) essays, and your set.

time spent on econ110 = 1/3 of the time spent on econ111 (and i got about the same grade)

ps - how did all you "econ111 is harder than econ110" people go in 111 compared to 110?

"workshops" aint compulsory, tho i went to all of them. they were useful, imo. but of course, others would disagree.. just depends on your "tutor".

Yeah workshops aren't compulsory.

I found Econ110 harder only because it was less interesting, and in the end I got the around the same mark. flyin' is right in that in 110 you only need Y-E and a few more essays after that...

Wot i found was that w/ econ110 u didnt hav to understand the work, as long as u rote learn the txtbk u'll do ok. Whereas with econ111 u probly had to understand the stuff more to do well...

Neways my 110 grade was 20 marks higher than 111...

it should be noted redruM knew "more" economics when he did econ111 (from doing econ110). also, redruM had improved his cramming / studying skills (as his second sem marks were generally way better than first sem grades)
