I need help with the entire question (a).
If you can't see the diagram clearly, it's a brake pedal with an effort force inclined at 45 degrees. It's asking me to find:
(i) the velocity ratio
(ii) the mechanical advantage if efficiency is 75%
(iii) the force p (inclined at 45 degrees) if the horizontal force on the push rod is 800N.
the length from the push rod to the fulcrum is 200.
from the load to the fulcrum it's 120 and from the load to the floor its 280 high.
Thanks for any help, much appreciated, especially if you can give full working out because I'm having trouble with this question! :s
