you need at least 4 I reckon.

its a good idea to have four different ones, say from four different texts that you know really well - you can always adapt them a little to fit the question
uhh u don't need supp texts for critical studies?!!? dont u?! just methodoligies and criticisms right? also, u dont need supp texts for module A comparitve studies also...right?!
I guess it depends on your module- over the course of the HSC year, it's likely you'll do anywhere between 4 and 12+. As you get further into Yr 12 I assume that the most relevant texts will sort of make themselves noticed, so study as many as you can now so you have more choices later Although in the actual HSC I don't think you'd need more than two, however over this yearyou will definately be required to study more than just two
ohh u mean to prepare?! i thought u meant USE...right, well in that case, i would look at about 4 to prepare for AOS and 2 to actually USE and thats it. the toher modules dont need related texts as far as i can tell
