What is everyone's favourite character(s)?

Mine would have to be (I know, it's cheesy) Sirius Black! I love him, I can't explain it but he's just so.. charming! Lol, anyway, everyone post your faves.

Edit: This can be from any book of any genre. Your favourite of all-time!

Are we talking in general or from a certain book that you haven't mentioned?

My fave character in general is Marius from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles.

Sam Vimes. There can be no debate. What a legend. Susan and her grandfather, Death, are up there, too.

James Herriot is also a great character.

Corran Horn from the X-Wing series is another.

Rhapsody/Emily from Rhapsody. Also like Mara from Mistress of Empire series.

For a more advanced text, i loved a fair few characters in Catch-22, and Kerewin and Simon in 'The Bone People' were both good characters. ^__^

This is a hard one... It depends what you mean by favourite.
I don't think there's any character I'd want to be, but there a few who I really like...
Probably... Dameon from Isobelle Carmody's Obernewtyn Chronicles.

Nigel Tufnel from This is Spinal Tap (yea I know its a movie).
From a book, id have to say ... there is a Mark Twain short story, I cant think of the name of it or the characters name, but it basically revolved around a guy who would go around paying the shit out of everything with his really dry wit (suprise suprise).

I liked Arithon and Elaira from the Wars of Light and Shadow. Jimmy the hand was good, but I reckon he was only good in the first three books (magician, silverthorn and darkness of sethanon). After that Jimmy became urm'ish. :)
